Méailles whose houses sit on the edge of the plateau is overlooking the Vaïre some 300 meters above it.
The Fugeret is built where the railway describes an S, in the village you will find houses dating from the 15th and 16th century, the remains of the "Four Murat", and the 12th century church.
Braux, with its sandstones' houses and slate roofs, is nestled in the folds of a plateau at the heart of a chestnut grove.
St Benoit, perched on a hill of gray marl was built around a 13th century old Benedictine monastery.
Ubraye whose houses form a defensive front, has a lovely heritage of sacred architecture.

Outstanding sites and villages can be found all around the valleys
North of Annot, the Haut Verdon, the western boundary of the Parc du Mercantour, can be reached via the Colle Saint Michel; you will discover Colmars les Alpes a medieval city and Allos, ski resort where the Verdon begins its course. From there, during the warmest days, you will be able to reach the Ubaye Valley via "Col d'Allos" or enter the upper valley of the Var via the "Col des Champs".
To the west, Saint André les Alpes by the lake of Castillon which stretches south-west to Castellane, the entrance to the Gorges du Verdon.
